This term Year 7’s STEM club has been investigating chemical reactions – focusing on acids, alkalis, and neutralisation reactions. Their project, with the help of our Year 10 volunteers, was to use their knowledge to design, build and create volcanoes!
This is what they have to say about the experience:
“Stem Club is a really good way to encourage Year 7’s to love and enjoy science. I enjoy STEM Club more than any other of my clubs – Harini, STEM Club student volunteer
“I enjoy the STEM club because not only do I get to know students outside of my year group, I’ve learned science in ways I didn’t know. I would encourage Year 7’s to join because it’s an easy to way to learn science and have fun. ”- Eugenia, STEM club volunteer
STEM Club is open to all Year 7 students every Monday-afterschool – if you would like to join, speak to Ms Kamaly or Mr Baldwin
