This event was organised to encourage our young female students, inviting them to engage with and be inspired by female professionals from organisations such as Shell, P&G, the NHS and many, many more.
The aim of this event was to inspire our young female learners, empowering them to pursue careers within the STEM sector that is largely dominated by males. However, it is safe to say that our guests inspired our Year 10 pupils across the board. We had pupils asking about work experience opportunities and how they could get more involved within Science.
Along with this, Year 10 Triple Science pupils organised a campaign to raise awareness around polycystic ovaries syndrome, which affects 1 in 10 females worldwide. Our pupils produced outstanding work making models and posters to spread awareness across the school and raised money for charity too.
