As Deep Learning Week came to an end, it was the undeniably most anticipated event of the week, Sports Day. With the event taking place across two days, each year group got to take part in track and field events, with everyone competing in at least one event.
To kick things off Year 7 arrived at the Feel Good Centre, ready to win as many medals for their form group as they could; you could sense the competitiveness in the air as they took to their events.
With pupils leaping as far as they possibly could trying to beat their peers, we knew the field events had begun. Not forgetting to mention the shot put, discus and javelin. They then started to call the track events, first up 800m, pupils racing around the track twice for first place. With the incredible atmosphere, pupils were determined to finish. With incredible speed we watched each form compete in the relay race, each running 100m.
Whilst the days were sun filled, our tuck shop made a great stop for our pupils who needed an extra pick me up after competing.
To end the event, our ambitious teachers took to the track to run the 100m, with a photo finish.
Well done to everyone who took part and congratulations to all our winners!
