11 of our Year 11 Art students were given the fantastic chance to exhibit their work in the presigious offices of Simmons & Simmons in the City of London a couple of weeks a go. They had to work to a tight deadline to produce a final piece of artwork, which linked with their theme of Storytelling. Year 11 students have approached the theme of storytelling in many different ways and have looked at a variety of sources including Greek Mythology, history and current events, films, books and games which have led them on to produce artwork using elements of symbolism and allegory that they have studied in Art and relating some of this to their own identity. In addition, Simmons & Simmons comissioned three former Frederick Bremer pupils, Ewan, Kehkshan and Juanelle to create an piece in response to their new rebrand and this became part of the celebration combined with the opening of the exhibition. It was very exciting to see how the former students had worked together and inspiring for our current Year 11’s to see what can be achieved. Many thanks to Simmons & Simmons and all the family and friends who came along to support the artists.
