In conjunction with the Year 10 GCSE curriculum and Restart a Heart Day (16th October 2019): students, in Miss Noor Mahomed’s Year 10 Science group, had the opportunity to learn and practice CPR.
The British Heart Foundation provided the school with 15 mini Annie resuscitation dolls, in order for students to learn CPR and save lives in the event they come across someone in distress.
Students participated in learning the compression technique and the correct method of opening the airways. During the previous lessons, students had learnt about the heart and the blood circulatory system. They were able to link the importance of carrying out CPR.
