It has become a tradition for Frederick Bremer School to host, for three weeks in the Summer term, a number of Italian students who follow the same curriculum as our students. This has been so successful that their number has tripled this year. We have had 20 Italian students. The immersion in a very different environment that can be daunting , especially if you are a 12 year old.
However, thanks to the leadership skills of our students, our Italian buddies, our Italian guests overcame all the cultural and linguistic challenges. To show their gratitude, they offered an Italian cooking workshop to our Year 10 students. Our students were taught how to make- from scratch- ravioli! The results was just buonissimo!
As a school, we are looking forward to seeing more Italian students next year.
Ciao, and on behalf of the MFL Department, buona vacanza!
