On Friday 16th March Frederick Bremer took part in a nationwide Number Day event which uses Maths to help raise money for NSPCC and Childline.
Both pupils and staff wore a T-shirt with a number on it and donated a pound. We also had several fun activities taking place throughout the day, including a Maths quiz involving all our staff. The pupils got very involved with the quiz, with the question of the day all around the school being “Who’s number 33?”. The winning pupils won a trip to the cinema with snacks for 2 people and other Maths goodie bags.
As a school we raised a total of £161.67!
Thank you to our fantastic Maths department for organising this great event. A special thank you to those who got involved and helped to raise money for these amazing charities.
